Machine Learning for Healthcare Internship

About the role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented undergraduate to work on machine learning problems in healthcare. You will have unique access to clinical datasets and the opportunity to develop a model around cancer diagnostics.

Research Direction

You will work with our distinguished technical staff to design and execute an ML research project related to cancer diagnostics. There is potential for academic publication based on the results of this internship.

Potential projects include a broad range of topics that we will tailor to your interests, with options including:

• Predictive modeling from clinical and biomarker data
• Biomarker discovery and feature selection
• Model interpretability for clinical decision making
• Time series modeling

Key Qualifications

• Strong ML/CS fundamentals
• ML infrastructure and tooling experience
• Experience with Healthcare ML / biostatistics
• Willingness to learn & innovate
• Able to join us in our beautiful office in San Francisco.

Duration:

• Start: Sept/October 2025
• End: 4-6 months later.
