The Role

We’re looking for a founding engineer in person in San Francisco! This is a unique opportunity to blend applied AI research with backend development. In this role, you'll spend 30% of your time researching cutting-edge technologies in AI/LLMs, and the rest time implementing these innovations.

We’re seeking someone who is deeply curious about new technologies, passionate about AI, and excited about building impactful products from the ground up.

As part of the founding team of a fast-growing YC startup, you will have significant ownership over the product and play a key role in shaping both the product and the company’s trajectory.

As a founding engineer, you will:

• Core AI: Build advanced AI systems (multi-agent, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, etc.).
• Backend Generalist: Develop key product features for a seamless user experience.
• Full Ownership: Drive your work from concept to impact, collaborating closely with the founders to solve challenges and shape the company’s future.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Backend generalist (Python, Typescript, vector db, AWS).
• Strong interest in applied AI/LLM.
• Willing to work in person in San Francisco.
• Bonus: Startup experience and comfortable with a fast pace.
