Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

The Role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern who’s excited to build at the intersection of AI, biology, and data infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the founding team to develop new features across the stack, from building intuitive React interfaces to optimizing backend performance for large-scale genomic data processing.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to our React + TypeScript frontend and Python / FastAPI backend
• Help design and scale systems that process and visualize complex biological data
• Collaborate on integrations with LLMs, cloud infrastructure, and pipeline orchestration tools
• Work directly with the founders to ship product used by scientists and research labs

What We’re Looking For

• Strong foundation in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or React
• Interest in AI, data visualization, or bioinformatics (no prior biology background required)
• Excitement to learn fast, build quickly, and have real impact in an early-stage startup

Bonus Points

• Experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or biological research
• Familiarity with tools like Scanpy, Seurat, Nextflow, or Jupyter
