Paces builds Agentic AI for Power Projects and AI Infrastructure. We automate early-stage due diligence and provide the expertise to accelerate late-stage diligence, fast-tracking projects from siting to construction-ready. Our platform supports renewable energy and data center developers, real estate firms, and more by streamlining siting, interconnection, and permitting. With Paces, teams can de-risk decisions, shorten timelines, and get more projects built.

Our development timelines are aggressive and you will be asked to rigorously explore solutions for previously unsolved problems. 🏆 What You’ll Achieve

• Lead a cross-functional team to automate critical project development workflows across permitting, origination, and environmental review.
• Research new domains quickly, partner with world-class project developers, and turn insights into product direction.
• Make critical build vs. buy decisions on strategically important land use and real estate datasets, and own commercial negotiations with vendors and partners.
• Own the product roadmap for zoning, permitting, environmental, and real estate data , focusing on the datasets, tools, and integrations that matter most.
• Work with leadership to define positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for services offerings, ensuring alignment with the broader company vision.
• Prioritize ruthlessly between speed, scope, and value while separating signal from noise to keep strategy clear.
• Prototype rapidly with AI tools and work directly with messy geospatial and land use datasets when needed to accelerate the product development lifestyle.

📈 Requirements

• 4+ years of product management, software engineering, data science or similar experience.
• 1+ years of early-stage startup experience.
• Strong experience working with data-driven or technical products.
• Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguous 0→1 product work.
• Technically fluent—comfortable working with APIs, datasets, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Skilled at making decisions under uncertainty and adjusting quickly.
• Experience balancing technical debt with product growth.
• Experience in real estate, GIS, or environmental tech.

• Former founder.
• Experience with AI tools for prototyping, analysis, or automation.
• Comfortable with Python and SQL for working with data directly.
• Write regularly and maintain a strong perspective about the industry (blog, Substack, etc.).

💰 Compensation and Benefits

• 160k-190k annual compensation
