Autonomous Navigation Intern

We are starting by deploying autonomous mobile manipulation robots in logistics settings to do the task of bin picking. We are growing very quickly, are about to raise our Series A, and are looking to expand our business.

You’ll be tasked with implementing autonomous navigation of an off the shelf AMR (autonomous mobile robot) and wheeled humanoid robot in a warehouse environment.

As an intern you will:

• Integrate autonomous navigation of wheeled base mobile manipulators
• Integrate following an tracking software
• Deploy and test robotic applications using ROS on Ubuntu Linux and NVIDIA Jetson platforms
• Set up off the shelf SLAM modules and tune necessary parameters
• Enable multi-robot communication and interaction
• Build safety systems
• Integrate navigation with a warehouse management system

What we’re looking for:

• Experience implementing SOTA SLAM techniques
• Previous experience working with robotic systems
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics or embedded systems development
• Familiarity with integrating sensors, cameras, and hardware interfaces (USB, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.)
• Understanding of electromechanical systems, including motors, motor controllers, and actuators
• Comfortable working with ROS, Linux (Ubuntu), and Docker
• Hands-on experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and hardware bring-up
• Exposure to microcontrollers and embedded platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson)

Note: the internship length is flexible and the salary below is assuming a 3 month internship.

There will be two-three interviews with the CEO and head of teleoperation and CTO.
